Comprised of a group of specialized researchers and staff dedicated to conducting high quality collaborative orthopaedic research, our mission is to advance, promote and disseminate quality research that will positively affect the care of our patients.
Dr. Timothy Daniels was awarded the Roger Mann Award for Best Clinical Paper presented at the Annual AOFAS 2014 meeting for a paper entitled “Multi-Centered Prospective Comparison of PROMIS Physical Function CAT to Traditional Instruments for Foot and Ankle Disorders”. This is the third time that Dr. Daniels has won this prestigious award (2007, 2012 and 2014).
Our research priorities include fracture treatment, fracture prevention in osteoporotic patients, prognostic cohort studies, e-data collection and reporting, measurement and outcomes research, and knowledge translation (facilitative best practice).
We have expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods to explore these areas, and place a strong emphasis on the application of the results in clinical practice and health policy.
