Health, Equity, and Research Talk (HEaRT): The Difficult Work of Confronting Systemic Anti-Black Racism in Research and Practice

Anti-racist health equity is an important goal in healthcare and health research; however, we cannot get to anti-racism without first reckoning with systemic anti-Black racism and colonialism. How does one best engage in this system change? Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary engagement key. Through an exploration of Africentric and intersectional research theories, methods and methodologies, Dr. OmiSoore Dryden will outline needed frameworks in order to conduct equitable Black focused research.
