Hosted by Unity Health, Dr. Greg German and Team (Professor of Bacteriophage Therapy Research and Innovation, U of T; Unity Health Chronic Infection Clinic and Microbiology Service), and the U of T Phage Therapy Interest Group.

This special event will feature Steffanie Strathdee, PhD, infectious disease epidemiologist, Harold Simon Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego, Co-Director of the Center for Innovative Phage Applications and Therapeutics (IPATH), and Arthur Slutsky Visiting Scholar at Unity Health Toronto, delivering the keynote lecture: Necessity is the Mother of Invention: From HIV to Phage Therapy.

Program highlights:
1:00–3:20 PM – Keynote and speaking program
3:20–4:05 PM – Poster presentations, reception, and book signing of The Perfect Predator
4:05–5:00 PM – Special screening of The Good Virus film
5:00–5:30 PM – Panel discussion and closing remarks

Format: Hybrid for the first half of the program, including keynote talks; in-person for the poster presentations, book signing, film screening, and panel discussion.
