Join us on May 26, 2026, for the upcoming RTC Research Day — our annual celebration of the innovative work led by graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and our faculty.
This year’s event features keynote speaker Dr. Kamran Khan, scientist, infectious disease physician, and founder and CEO of BlueDot Inc, presenting “The Pragmatic Academic: Entering a New Era of Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship.” The day will also include engaging oral and poster presentations spanning experimental research to health science policy, an awards ceremony, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kamran Khan, MD, MPH, FRCPC, FCAHS
Dr. Kamran Khan is an infectious disease physician with training in public health and preventive medicine based at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. He is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Dalla Lana School Of Public Health at the University of Toronto. His research interests focus on the globalization of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases. He is also the founder of a social enterprise called BlueDot that develops innovative digital solutions to help governments, the private sector, and healthcare organizations build resilience to current and future global epidemic threats.
