SPARK
SPARK (Science Program to Advance Research Knowledge for Toronto Youth) is a youth engagement initiative led by Unity Health Toronto that aims to ignite curiosity and expand access to STEM and research careers among high school students.
SPARK connects high school students across the GTA with hands-on research experiences through lab tours, interactive workshops, career talks, and on-site events. The program is designed to spark curiosity, build awareness of real-world scientific research, and inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators—especially youth from underserved communities.
We are proud to collaborate with the University of Toronto’s Office of Access and Outreach through their MedLinx and Summer Mentorship programs, creating expanded opportunities for students to engage with research and explore careers in healthcare and science. We continue to work in partnership with schools, outreach organizations, and community groups across the GTA, and welcome inquiries from those interested in supporting or engaging with the SPARK program.
