Drs. Anju Anand, Samir Gupta, Elizabeth Tullis and Fred Ellerington have been recognized with King Charles III Coronation Awards. Anad, a respirologist at St. Michael’s, was recognized for leadership in the “This is our shot” campaign, an impactful community health initiative promoting vaccination. Gupta, a respirologist at St. Michael’s, was recognized for his wide-reaching public health contributions through education and communication. Tullis, director of the Toronto Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, was recognized for exceptional contributions to cystic fibrosis care and research. Ellerginton, an outreach counsellor at St. Michael’s, was recognizes for his dedication and service to community.

Elizabeth Butorac, clinical leader manager for Trauma and Neurosurgery at St. Michael’s, has been awarded a Provincial Donation Champion Award by Ontario Health (Trillium Gift of Life Network) for her exceptional work as an advocate for organ and tissue donation.

Dr. Alice Cheng, endocrinologist at St. Michael’s, has been named the 2025 Outstanding Physician Clinician in Diabetes by the American Diabetes Association. The award recognizes Cheng’s meritorious contributions to diabetes clinical practice and education.

Dr. Aaron Nauth, surgeon at St. Michael’s Hospital, has been awarded the top prize at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, for his impressive multi-centre randomized trial comparing plating versus retrograde nailing for management of peri-prosthetic distal femur fractures, on behalf of the Canadian Orthopedic Trauma Society.
