Abbas Ghavam‐Rassoul is a family physician at St. Michael's Hospital, Unity Health. His diverse clinical practice includes the care of patients with mental illness and HIV. He has served as the Program Director for the Academic Fellowship and Graduate Studies Program in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto. He teaches at the undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate levels. Past leadership roles have included residency program director at the DFCM at St. Michael’s Hospital, and co-lead for the Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration in Family Medicine.  Past research has involved increasing collaboration between family medicine and psychiatry in service delivery and trainee education.
