Alice Ordean

Dr. Alice Ordean is a Family Physician with a certificate of added Competence in Addiction Medicine, and Medical Director of the Toronto Centre for Substance Use in Pregnancy (T-CUP) at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.  She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Her academic and clinical activities relate to the development of an innovative integrated clinical program and professional standards of care for identification and management of perinatal substance use disorders.  She has also contributed to knowledge translation and dissemination, as well as, creation of educational innovations related to alcohol, tobacco and opioid use disorders as a member of guideline development groups for provincial, national and international organizations.  Dr. Ordean has also participated in knowledge dissemination of guidelines through peer-reviewed publications, online modules and presentations.
