Bio

CECILIA SANTIAGO is the Nursing Practice Manager at Unity Health Toronto, St. Michael’s Hospital.

Her interest in research started when she was the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit with research works focusing on promoting patient centered care for critically ill patients. Her recent works aim to improve processes of care such as transfer of accountability, safe medication practices, and prevention and management of responsive behaviour and delirium. She is also involved in research exploring the experiences of nurses and externs as they support staffing shortage and new models of care.
