Neda Rashidi-Ranjbar

Dr. Neda Rashidi-Ranjbar is an Adjunct Scientist at Unity Health Toronto. She serves as Manager of the Neurodegenerative Disease Research Program at St. Michael's Hospital, where she leads a multidisciplinary research program spanning investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical studies in cognitive aging, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer's disease. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating novel therapeutic approaches for neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular interest in photobiomodulation and other non-invasive brain stimulation technologies. Using advanced MRI, blood-based biomarkers, and cognitive assessments, she investigates disease mechanisms and therapeutic response to support the development of evidence-based interventions.

Dr. Rashidi-Ranjbar has expertise in clinical trial design, research operations, regulatory oversight, and multidisciplinary collaboration across academia and industry. Her work is centered on translating discoveries in neuroscience into clinically meaningful therapies by identifying objective biomarkers of treatment response and improving our understanding of how emerging interventions influence brain health. Through her research, she aims to advance precision medicine approaches that preserve cognitive function and improve outcomes for individuals at risk of neurodegenerative disease.
