Current Funding & Awards Opportunities for Scientists

New funding and awards opportunities for scientists and investigators at Unity Health Toronto are distributed in the weekly VPRI Update newsletter. To submit new opportunities that would be of interest to researchers at Unity Health, and/or be added to the VPRI Update mailing list, please send your request to VPRI@unityhealth.to.

The following database features two distinct tabs for Funding and Awards opportunities curated by the VPRI Office for Unity Health Toronto’s research community. Please see the Funding Opportunities tab for a list of grants, and the Awards & Honours tab for a list of awards/distinctions. You can sort the table by program, sponsor, amount, and deadline. Please use Ctrl+F on your keyboard to quickly search for specific keywords. Many entries provide links to detailed sponsor/program websites for more information and guidance documents.

The VPRI Office supports and oversees nominations for research chairs and institution-led honours and awards. Please review the eligibility criteria for each Award. For any questions, or to submit your name or a colleague’s name for consideration, contact VPRI@unityhealth.to. You can also explore a searchable database of national and international Honours and Awards Opportunities, maintained by the University of Toronto Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation.
