Microfabrication Core

Equipment and expertise in microfabrication, rapid device prototyping, and nanotechnologies for biomedical applications and healthcare.

We aim to support researchers at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Institute for Biomedical Engineering, Science and Technology (iBEST). We promote using state-of-the-art microfabrication technologies and nanoparticle analysis in biomedical research.

The facilities include Class 10,000 (ISO Class 7) cleanroom space,  3D printers for high-definition prototype devices, and analytical equipment.

In addition to the equipment, the Microfabrication and Device Development Core offers group and individual training, protocol development and validation, 3D modelling and device design, data analysis and consultation services.
