Bernardo (Dino) Trigatti is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University and a Scientist in the Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis Research Institute of McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences. He is the president of the Canadian Society of Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with a particular interest in the mechanisms by which HDL protects against cardiovascular disease. His lab is funded by grants from the CIHR and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and by industry partners.
