Biography

Alison Thomas is a nephrology Nurse Practitioner (University of Toronto, 2006) with expertise in the care of hemodialysis patients. Alison is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Toronto – Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Organ Replacement Register (CORR, 2014 – present). She is Past President of the Canadian Association of Nephrology Nurses and Technologists (CANNT), and former board member of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Ontario Branch Board of Directors (2012 – 2013). Research interests include decision support, quality improvement, patient safety, and resource allocation. Alison has been the recipient of research grants through the Canadian Nurses Foundation and the Ontario Renal Network (Cancer Care Ontario).
