Biography

Dr. Alun Ackery is an Emergency Physician and Trauma Team Leader at St. Michael’s Hospital, a transport physician with Ornge Air Ambulance, and a Medical Director at Criticall. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine.

His research interests are broad, focusing on pre-hospital trauma, injury prevention, and technology. Furthermore, he is involved in developing and disseminating a variety of innovative tools to 1) better educate patients about their journey in and out of the hospital; 2) give physicians in community hospitals better resources so that they can manage patients more effectively; and 3) advance technology to create new tools that will augment the overall health care experience.
