Amanda Hignell is a clinical social worker in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Department of Pediatrics at St. Michael’s hospital. Her research interests include the intersection of maternal and infant health with the social determinants of health, as well as social work education and practice. In 2019, Amanda was the recipient of the St. Michael’s Hospital Health Disciplines Scholarship Award, which recognizes an individual who supports a culture of discovery and knowledge translation through innovation and research in Health Disciplines practice and education.
