Dr. Stephenson attended medical school and received her internal medicine training at the University of Toronto. She completed her training in Respiratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in 2000 and has been working at St. Michael’s Hospital in the Adult CF Program since 2001. In 2010 she successfully completed her PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in health services research. In addition to her clinical work, she oversees the Canadian CF Patient Registry (CCFR) and has utilized this resource for her own research in order to examine predictors of morbidity in CF. Most recently, she has linked the CCFR to the health administrative databases at IC/ES to examine emerging complications of CF in the ageing CF population. In addition, she collaborates with CF researchers internationally using national CF Registry data to conduct population-based epidemiologic research in CF.
