Biography

Ms. Moore is a critical care RN at St. Michael’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital. She is currently a Doctor of Philosophy student at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Craig Dale. Her doctoral research focuses on the care of critically ill oncology patients in a Canadian context, with a focus on symptom management and the delivery of care. Julie is a graduate of the Master of Nursing program at University of Toronto, where she graduated with a specialization in Resuscitative Sciences. She has served as a teaching assistant and mentor in the Collaborative Specialization in Resuscitative Sciences, a graduate training program with St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto. Recently, Julie has been engaged as a research assistant in a randomized controlled trial (the CHORAL Study, PI: Dr. Craig Dale) to assess oral care in critically ill, ventilated patients, and a co-investigator in a prospective observational study assessing the intrahospital transport of critically ill patients.
