Sana Smaoui

Practice-based Researcher, Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute

Dr. Sana Smaoui is a Speech-Language Pathologist at St. Michael Hospital’s Heart, Lung, and Vascular Program. Her clinically focused research interests include the identification and rehabilitation of swallowing disorders.

Dr. Smaoui’s work to date has explored the relationship between hyoid kinematics, tongue pressure, and swallowing safety both in a healthy cohort and in a clinical group of patients with dysphagia post-stroke.

Please note: Dr. Smaoui is not accepting student applications for 2023.
