Tools and Software to Support Systematic Reviews

The workshop will give an overview of the various workflow and software tools to support systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses. These tools can help streamline different stages of the review process such as data management, title/abstract screening, critical appraisal, and data extraction. Participants will learn to locate and evaluate tools in order to meet the needs of their review team.  These tools include the SR Toolbox, critical appraisal checklists, and software packages such Covidence, DistillerSR, and Rayyan.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Locate different types of tools, templates, software to support the systematic review process
  • Identify and evaluate the features of different systematic review management tools
  • Select the tools that will best support their review

Target Audience: Researchers, staff and students who are carrying out systematic or scoping reviews.
