Other Canadian Royal Society of Canada (RSC) - College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists: --The College is Canada’s first national system of multidisciplinary recognition for the emerging generation of Canadian intellectual leadership. The membership enables the participation of early- and mid-career faculty in the activities of the RSC. The award may be bestowed upon physicians, residents, medical students, Elders and Knowledge Keepers who self-identify as Indigenous, Aboriginal, First Nations, Inuit or Métis and who reside in Canada (international applicants are not eligible). Active senior experts in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, prepared to give a keynote lecture at ESCMID Global, are warmly invited to be nominated. InternationalAmerican Association for Cancer Research (AACR): Women in Cancer Research Charlotte Friend Memorial Lectureship--This is intended to give recognition to an outstanding female or male scientist who has made meritorious contributions to the field of cancer research and who has, through leadership or by example, furthered the advancement of women in science. InternationalGuggenheim Fellowshipsup to USD $50,000.This fellowship is intended for mid-career individuals who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts and exhibit great promise for their future endeavors. Relevant award categories include (but not limited to): Biology, Medicine & Health, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Engineering. International ARVO Foundation for Eye Research (AFER) - Bert M. Glaser, MD Award for Innovative Research in Retina: USD $10,000.This award is given to an early-career investigator in recognition of the discovery of a drug or technique, or the understanding of a mechanism of disease, that is novel and has profoundly changed our understanding and/or treatment of a retinal disease or condition. The discovery must have taken place within five years of the date of application. October 1, 2024.
International ARVO Foundation for Eye Research (AFER) - Carl Camras Translational Research Awards: USD $12,000. This award for young investigators working in areas of translational research honors Dr. Carl Camras, who is highly respected for his work as a glaucoma specialist and a research scientist.
