Welcome to an overview of Dr. Petrosoniak’s work

Dr. Petrosoniak is an emergency physician and trauma team leader at St. Michael's Hospital. He’s an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and an associate scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute. He is the Director of trauma education at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Co-director of the Annual Critical Care Skills Course for the FRCP Emergency Medicine residents.

His academic work focuses on simulation-based procedural skill acquisition for rarely performed skills and using in situ simulation for patient safety and the design of clinical infrastructure. He speaks regularly on these topics as an invited speaker at national and international conferences. His publications include work related to trauma resuscitation and the application of in situ simulation in emergency medicine and trauma care.
