Indspire Award recipients provide inspiration for our young people and serve to educate all Canadians about the tremendous contributions that Indigenous peoples are making across the country. Nominees must be individuals who: Are members of a federally recognized First Nations, Inuit or Métis community or Nation; Demonstrate outstanding achievement; Are of any age (youth award nominees must be 27 years of age or under by nomination deadline); and, Are permanent Canadian residents or Canadian born. Burchenal Award For Outstanding Achievement In Clinical Cancer Research--This to recognize outstanding achievements in clinical cancer research. The award honors Dr. Joseph H. Burchenal, Honorary Member and Past President of the AACR, and a major figure in clinical cancer research. September 15, 2024.
InternationalAmerican Association for Cancer Research (AACR): Waun Ki Hong Award For Outstanding Achievement In Translational And Clinical Cancer Research--This Award recognizes a worthy cancer researcher who has conducted highly meritorious translational and clinical cancer research anywhere in the world and who has not yet reached 51 years of age at the time of the award presentation. InternationalAmerican Association for Cancer Research (AACR): Women in Cancer Research Charlotte Friend Memorial Lectureship--This is intended to give recognition to an outstanding female or male scientist who has made meritorious contributions to the field of cancer research and who has, through leadership or by example, furthered the advancement of women in science. InternationalGuggenheim Fellowshipsup to USD $50,000.This fellowship is intended for mid-career individuals who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts and exhibit great promise for their future endeavors. Relevant award categories include (but not limited to): Biology, Medicine & Health, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Engineering.
