Securing adequate funding is an important part of research and academic development. There are many funding opportunities available to SMH trainees, including internal, university, government and non-government opportunities. Students should always consult with their university regarding opportunities and application deadlines.

Students who are pursuing research-based master’s or doctoral studies may also qualify for additional financial support, which are administered by the respective graduate units. Please check with your specific department, and also visit the Graduate Awards Office for additional information about scholarship and financial aid programs. Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships
|The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is intended to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent. This is a very competitive award, with 70 fellowships awarded each year across Canada.
